Legal Aid of Western Michigan - Holland Office

Services in Allegan County are provided by the Legal Aid of Western Michigan office in Holland as well as the Counsel and Advocacy Call Line (CALL).

Please contact the office for screening and intake. Generally, our attorneys speak with eligible clients by appointment only.

People living in or near poverty and Seniors in Allegan County may also use the Guide to Legal Help or call the CALL hotline at (888) 783-8190 if they do not have an open case with an attorney in this office.

Services in Ottawa county are provided through the Counsel and Advocacy Call Line (CALL) and Holland office:

Low income persons in Ottawa county can use the Guide to Legal Help or call 1-888-783-8190 if they do not have an open case with an attorney in this office.

Some matters will be handled by attorneys over the telephone.  

In more complex matters, such as those where the attorneys believe that more extensive representation may be necessary and the case is one that Legal Aid of Western Michigan would handle, the case will be assigned to an attorney for an in-person meeting. 

*For the convenience of clients, appointments may be scheduled at the Grand Haven Senior Center or Center for Women in Transition.  However, Attorneys are at these outreach sites only to meet with people who have previously scheduled appointments.  If no appointments were scheduled or the attorney has already met with those scheduled, he or she may not be present.
