Legal Self-Help at Lincoln Township Public Library and On-the-Go is located in the Lincoln Township Public Library, at 2099 W. John Beers Rd, Stevensville, MI. The Self-Help Center has library staff who are trained to help visitors use the Michigan Legal Help website. These staff members are called “navigators,” and they can help you access information about handling some kinds of legal matters without a lawyer.
In addition to the website, navigators can help visitors find instructions for completing their legal process, answer simple questions about forms that are available on the website, and find community resources that may help with your legal problem. Navigators can provide legal information, but not legal advice. Navigators welcome any and all questions and will let you know if your question is outside of what they can provide. If you need legal advice, please contact a lawyer. If you would like help finding a lawyer, please use the Guide to Legal Help.
The Self-Help Center also provides On-the Go where visitors can sit down with Lincoln Township Public Library navigators who are trained to assist individuals in accessing legal information, completing forms, and identifying community resources through the Michigan Legal Help website. Click the calendar events to get details for the location and schedule of the van.
