The Legal Self-Help Center at MiSide is a place where people can get help with simple legal problems. Visitors can use computers to find legal self-help tools and referrals on MichiganLegalHelp.org. All resources on the website and help from Self-Help Center staff are free!
The Legal Self-Help Center has trained agency staff that can help you navigate the website to find information, forms, instructions, and find community resources that may help with your legal problem. Self-Help Center staff can help explain legal information, but cannot give legal advice.
Questions regarding immigration, asylum or discrimination related to national origin or documentation status can be directed to Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, a non-profit organization that provides free legal assistance to people across Michigan.
If you need legal advice, please contact a lawyer. If you would like help finding a lawyer, please use the Guide to Legal Help.
