UPCAP Conflict Resolution Program

The UPCAP Conflict Resolution Program serves individuals, groups, and organizations in Baraga, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, Menominee, Ontonagon and Schoolcraft counties in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This non-profit program provides conflict resolution training, mediation services, and promotes the use of mediation in a wide variety of situations.

In mediation, disputing parties agree to a private, face-to-face meeting with a specially- trained team of volunteer mediators. This team is a neutral third-party that helps the disputants work out a solution to their problem.

Most conflicts are resolved in one session. Sessions typically last one to three hours, and are held at a neutral location.

Facilitating Meetings:
The Conflict Resolution Services Program is a ready source of experienced neutral facilitators for private meetings as well as public forums.
