The mission of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Court is to fully implement the delegation of Constitutional judicial authority from the people of the Tribe consistent with self-determination, the sovereign powers of the Nation, traditional values, fairness and justice.
The Tribal Court is a court of general jurisdiction having authority over actions arising under the Tribal Constitution and under the laws, ordinances and codes of the Tribe. The Tribe exercises criminal and civil jurisdiction over 199 acres held in trust for the Tribe by the United States.
