Detroit Police Department Victims Assistance Program

The Victim’s Assistance Program (VAP) is designed to address the needs of individuals, families and communities affected by sexual assault, domestic violence and homicide. The Victims Assistance Program provides 24 hours crisis intervention, 7 days a week.  In addition to crisis intervention, VAP offers follow-up counseling and prevention programs. VAP strives to alleviate barriers to the restoration of a healthy physical and emotional state.
